PBI Patient, October 2008
Three days after my husband and I decided to move to Casper from Madison, WI, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Upon arriving in Casper, we went to meet Dr. Henshaw who would be my new oncologist. We loved her immediately. She really spent time making us comfortable and answering all our questions. After a tour of the center, we met with the nurses and staff. Everyone, as well as the environment, was so welcoming — it made us feel at ease.
Cancer and chemotherapy are scary words, but when you are at a place like Wyoming Oncology it becomes a little less intimidating. I look forward to the time I spend with the people there, both patients and staff. I think I’ll have mixed emotions when my treatment time is over. I’ll miss the people who encourage me and make me feel so special.
